![]() ![]() Sometimes things are started out in Zbrush or another app, then re-topologized in another app to build the low poly, then maps are baked to the low poly model. Certain objects are probably easier to start with a low poly base, sculpted, and then the high detail info is baked into a normal map and applied to the low poly model. I am sure quite a few of the objects in Skyrim are using normal maps baked from high detail models sculpted in some sculpting process really depends on the artist and the objects. I don't know enough about the technicalities to explain the difference however. Zbrush is technically not even a 3d application. Models were i know they were made in Zbrush are these from Mass Effect 2. They worked a lot with Bumpmaps this time. ![]() The most models have lower polycount then Oblivion. But i don't think the Skyrim models are done with Zbrush. I once tried to work with ZBrush, but i never came behind how that should work I prefer the simple 3d Programs like 3ds Max. ![]()
